Preventive Screening Ultrasound Exam

This exam aims to help identify a problem or to check your overall health. No doctor's note is required allowing you to be proactive and take control over your health. Screening exams are not covered by Medicare or other health insurance providers. Payment is due at the time of your exam. If, however, a screening exam detects a medical problem, your health insurance provider will cover subsequent treatment (to the extent allowed by your plan) and possibly reimburse you for the cost or a portion of the cost of the screening.

Diagnostic Ultrasound Exam

This is a thorough ultrasound exam of a specific area of concern as requested by your doctor. A doctor's note is required and your results will be sent to your ordering physicians.

WHOLE ABDOMEN 복부 검진

This scan includes gallbladder, pancreas, liver, spleen, kidneys, aorta and IVC. Common reasons this exam is done fir are due to pain, checking for gallstones, kidney stones, and tumors. Requires 6 hour fasting preparations. 간, 담낭, 췌장, 비장, 신장 등의 장기 검사.

RENAL 신장 검진

This scan includes right and left kidneys and bladder. Evaluates size, signs of injury, abnormalities, presence of blockages or kidney stones, cysts or tumors and complications of a UTI. This exam requires a full bladder. Drink 500-700ml of water 2-3 hours before the exam. 신부전증, 신우신염, 방광염, 신장결석 등 신장 관련 증상이 있을 시 검사. 검사 2-3시간 전, 500-700ml의 물을 마셔 방광을 채우십시오.

AAA (ABDOMINAL AORTIC ANEURYSM) Screening 복부 대동맥류 검진

Measures and evaluates the abdominal aorta to look for any abnormalities. Risk factors for AAA includes high blood pressure, smoking, high cholesterol, emphysema, obesity, and genetic factors. AAA screening is valuable for anyone over 50 years old or over 40 years old with other risk factors of cardiovascular disease. 흡연, 노화, 유전적 요인으로 인한 복부 대동맥류 검사.

BREAST 유방 검진

This ultrasound can assist in locating breast tumors or cysts as tiny as a few millimeters in size. It is commonly ordered after a Thermogram or Mammogram that has shown questionable findings. It is also used for women under 30 or are breastfeeding to evaluate areas of tenderness or palpable mass. Both breasts are evaluated. 유방의 물혹, 염증, 종양 등을 검진 가능. 메모그램등 유방 촬영에서 의심되는 결과가 보일 경우, 추가로 검사.

FEMALE PELVIS 여성 골반 검진

This exam assesses organs and structures within the female pelvis like uterus, cervix, vagina, Fallopian tubes, and ovaries. Abnormalities like fibroid tumors, masses, cysts, and other types of tumors within pelvis can be detected. Needs to drink 500-700ml water to fill the bladder 2-3 hours before the exam. 자궁경부, 자궁체부, 난소, 난관 등 골반내 여성 조직 검사. 검사 2-3 시간전에 500-700ml 물을 마시시고 화장실 사용을 금한 후에 검사를 받으셔야 합니다.

MALE PELVIS (SCROTAL/PROSTATE) 전립선 검진

Scrotal ultrasounds evaluate disorders of testicles, epididymis, and scrotum. Common reasons include testicular pain or swelling, cause of infertility or mass. Prostate ultrasounds are commonly ordered due to difficulty urinating to an elevated blood test result. Evaluates a nodule found during rectal exam, detect abnormalities and enlarged glands. 배뇨장애를 동반한 남성 환자, 전립선 비대증, 전립선 암 등 전립성 질환 의심시 검사. 방광을 채운 후 검사 필요.

SOFT TISSUE 연부 조직 검진

Evaluates palpable superficial nodules such as cysts or lipomas. 지방종 등 연부 조직 병변의 위치 및 간별 진단.

Thyroid 갑상선 검진

Evaluates causes for swelling, pain or mass. No specific need for preparations. 갑상선 및 주변 기관의 형태적 이상 결절 등 검사.

VASCULAR CAROTID (CAROTID ARTERIES) 경동맥 검진

Carotid ultrasounds are performed to detect stenosis, abnormal sounds in the neck, diabetes, elevated blood cholesterol or family history of stroke or heart disease. 목 주위의 경동맥 및 추골동맥이 좁아진 정도나 위치, 혈류의 적절성 등을 확인. 뇌졸증 및 심혈관 질환 가족력이 있거나, 뇌졸중, 심혈관 질환, 고혈압, 당뇨, 고지혈증, 대사 증후군 시 검사.

STROKE SCREENING 뇌졸중 스크리닝 검사

Whole abdomen and carotid ultrasound 복부와 경동맥 초음파 검사

고지혈증, 고혈압, 당뇨병의 가족력이 있거나 상기 질환이 있는 분께 필요한 검사. 복부초음파를 통해 지방간 등 복부 장기의 지방 침착 유무 및 정도를 체크하고, 복부 대동맥 혈관벽의 콜레스테롤 플라크 유무를 체크함. 또한, 경동맥초음파를 통해 뇌로 들어가기 전 목 부위 혈관에서 혈전 침착 유무와 혈관벽 두께를 체크하므로 뇌졸중 위험성을 알 수 있음.
